By Dana Grey SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News)- The Central New York community is rallying together today in hopes of helping a man in need. Manlius Police Sergeant, Ken Hatter, has non-hodgkins lymphoma and local law enforcement is doing what it can to help fight the cancer.
The Cicero Fire Department is hosting a bone marrow registry drive today at the station. All that is being asked of those who can show is that the volunteers take a cheek swab test in order to be added to the bone marrow registry.
The goal is simple, to find a donor match for Sergeant Hatter. If you or someone you know would like to help, the drive takes place this afternoon and evening from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
