By Ramon Hernandez SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) — The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority (SRAA) announced Wednesday that Syracuse Hancock International Airport will be adding two new nonstop flight services later this year.
Frontier Airlines will be adding direct flight options to both Fort Myers and Tampa, Florida, starting on November 15.
The two additions are the fifth and sixth nonstop service options added to Hancock International since Frontier’s arrival earlier this year.
With the new Florida flight options, Frontier now offers more than 25% of all direct flight options at Hancock International.
“We are proud to grow our commitment and bring even more low fares to the area, now with an additional two non-stop destinations,” said Frontier Airline Spokesperson Richard Oliver.
“We appreciate the ongoing support of the airport and the community at large, and we’re proud to serve Syracuse with some of the lowest fares in the industry and a great travel experience,” he said.
The new additions also bring Hancock to a record 23 nonstop service options and seven airlines.
“We are thrilled to see Frontier expand their footprint in the Syracuse market with the addition of Ft. Myers and Tampa,” said Airport Director Christina Callahan.
The airport is also set to complete a major terminal renovation project by the end of October.
“Clearly this market has responded strongly to all of the new service, proving ‘if you build it, they will come’,” she said.
