Syracuse’s Food Truck Rodeo Returns to Town

Tell your order at the window, and wait just a few minutes to retrieve your order. Warm, fresh, crispy and melty, came to mind after gulping down this pie. Forewarning, order more than one. You won’t want to share. © Lauren Chiardio 2018

By Lauren Chiardio SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) — As warm weather finally approaches, food trucks around Central New York are warming up their kitchen appliances, as they kick off this years Food Truck Rodeo.

The Rodeo is scheduled to re-open for this years season on Wednesday, April 18th. Although the weather calls for showers and overcast skies, the trucks will be ready to dish out some delicious meals, rain or shine. Byblos’s Street Grill, Toss ‘n’ Fire Wood-Fired Pizza, The Chicken Bandit, and Shattuck’s Paddy Wagon are all set to attend for opening week.

The trucks will be located at 1153 West Fayette Street, in Syracuse, every Wednesday from 11:00 A.M to 2:00 P.M. And the best part… there is a total of 25 trucks participating this year, alternating every week. This means that returning costumers will have a different set of food trucks and eating options to choose from each time they visit the Rodeo.

From mouth-watering pizza, to sticky-sweet grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, everyone in the family is destined to find something they will enjoy. To see each weeks lineup, you can visit their website at http://www.syrfoodtrucks.com. The Rodeo will conclude it’s season at the end of October, which leaves plenty of time to pick a warm day, grab some family and friend, and devour some tempting treats together.
