Manny’s Sales Helped by Syracuse Men’s Basketball’s Success

By Nicole Hansen SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC News) – Syracuse Men’s Basketball has a date with the Duke Blue Devils in the Sweet 16 on Friday night, but it’s not just the team that’s benefiting from its NCAA Tournament wins.

According to Manny’s General Manager Mike Theiss, his store is reaping the benefits of the team’s success as well.

“Sales for Sweet 16 probably increase business by about 75 percent over what it would normally be,” Theiss said. He also mentioned that if the team continues to progress to the next rounds, this increase in business will continue to climb.

Theiss said that Manny’s sold out of all their Sweet 16 merchandise in one day, but can order more in as few as 24 hours to accommodate the increase in sales. The store will continue ordering its apparel like this if Syracuse wins on Friday and advances to the Elite 8, Final Four or even the National Championship.
