By Jinglu Ann SYRACUSE, N.Y. (NCC NEWS)- With Love, a local restaurant, opened its doors about a year ago.
The restaurant, at 435 Salina Street, offers more than just food.
With Love hires refugees from different countries to not only embrace diversity, but to give them a home away from home.
The restaurant has purchased books and maps from different regions around the world. Though they are only open for business for two or three hours on weekdays, the food is Middle Eastern and homemade.
Adam Sudmann, With Love’s manager, said he wants to hire first-time employees to give them an American work experience.
“The employees who typically work here are between the ages of 16 to 24 years old. We often give them the first experience working here,” Sudmann said.
With Love has employees from Syria, Ethiopia, Laos and Iran.
