By Lileana Pearson Syracuse, N.Y. (NCC News) – Fleet Feet Sports in Dewitt partnered with Saucony to host the Run Your World Tour.
Run Your World was created to encourage people to run, but also to incorporate hard work and discipline into other parts of their lives.
When the tour stopped in Dewitt it brought more than 70 runners from around the area. Long-term runner and beginners all got together to do a pre-run warmup, run and complete a post-run workout.
Registration was $10 per person, with all the proceeds going to the Red Cross to help with disaster relief. Originally the money was going to aid Hurricane Harvey victims, but Saucony decided to branch out after Hurricane Irma and the wildfires in California.
This isn’t the only group activity Fleet Feet Sports hosts. On their website they have a calendar full of events such as 5Ks and holiday-themed runs.
The Run Your World tour is moving out of Central New York and continues around the United States to promote a healthy lifestyle and raise money for victims of disaster. Details on the tour can be found on the Saucony and Fleet Feet Sports websites.
