WISE Helps Women Entrepreneurs

By Mary Peters SYRACUSE (NCC News) – A local women’s career organization is making an impact.  WISE, which stands for Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship, has been changing women’s lives.  This program gives its participants access to resources to build or develop their company through mentor guidance in creating a business plan.

Magaly Nobles-Marrero, a graduate of the program, attended class once a week and completed thirteen chapters online.  Then, the students’ final project was to present their business plan in front of business professionals in the community and receive feedback.

Nobles-Marrero found this program very helpful.  She feels confident that the information she learned through the Exito! program will help her in her motivational speaking company and could be helpful for someone else who needs some sort of direction.

“There’s a lot of people that need that little push to start and some others who already have their businesses and they need some other kind of help,” Nobles-Marrero said.
