By India Timpton SYRACUSE (NCC NEWS) – Contrary to popular belief, twins do have their own thoughts, feelings, and opinions. Syracuse University twin Women’s Basketball standouts Bria and Briana Day definitely do. The energy each one gave off shed light onto their differing personalities and dreams. But like many opposites, together, something one of a kind is produced.
Standing at 6’3 and 6’4, the Day twins are hard to miss. After both received full athletic scholarships to SU the girls, and their mother, made the move from North Carolina to New York four years ago. When asked if they planned to attend the same college both laugh and quickly respond “No!”. Briana then added, “We just played for fun we never thought it would go this far.” Luckily for the Orange it did!
As May 2017 graduates of Syracuse University, both sisters leave behind individual basketball program accolades and a team that has continued to exceed expactations. Bria will continue her education at SU pursuing a masters in Public Health, while Briana is off to Belguim to play professionally. They have always been side by side and think the change of being apart will be tough.
They have always been side by side and think the change of being apart will be tough. Yet, both girls fully support the other’s dreams even though they will cause them to seperate. The twins believe they are ready as they look ahead with smiles on their faces !
