Syracuse Plays Host to Emerging New Sport

A look inside a new sport that is gaining popularity in Central New York and across the country.

It’s called pickleball.

The game is a combination of badminton, tennis and ping-pong.

All you need is a racquet and a wiffle-ball and you’re ready to play.

The game can be played in singles or doubles format on any basketball or tennis court.

It’s popular with seniors because it’s an easy, less strenuous way for them to exercise, But, it’s a game designed for all ages.
