Thursday marked the start of the 19th annual car show, highlighting the cars, trucks and SUVs sold across Central New York.

“I’m excited,” said Bruce Rapp, chairman of the 2017 Auto Expo. “It’s the first sign of spring for us. We’re coming out of our slow season [and] into our prime selling season.”

The Auto Expo showcases more than 200 vehicles, and also features a customer lounge and a wine tasting on Saturday night.

Rapp said this weekend is about more than just selling of cars – it’s about giving back.

“We hosted our charity event last night and I think we raised around $300,000 this year to be used right here in this community, for those friends, families and neighbors in need this year,” Rapp remarked. “It’s a win-win situation, it’s a great thing.”

The Syracuse 2017 Auto Expo is running at the On Center from Thursday, February 16 through Sunday, February 19. Tickets cost $9 and parking is included in the price of admission.
